here is my disco engine, I am collecting it on Saturday, would prefer Thursday but I cannot get a lift to collect it.
Anyway my only issue was an oil leak, clerarly dripping from engine, it also seemed a bit low on pulling power on test drive, any advice welcome. as this is my first Discovery It does come with 3 months warranty, but would like to know the cause, I can give you more info on the oil drip, if you can help
thank you

Thanks just making sure i have seen 7 previous ones L-M- first N reg with This plastic topping over engine,
Checked under for flooring, arches, mounts, chassis, all solid, one sill a bit weak all rest is best i have seen, so i went with it, just his oil leak from left side of engine its a plactic assembly has a few screws missing and oil/brake fluid is dripping out openly? is this a oil pressure box?
thanks

passenger side, brake fuid pipes run over and down to it.
black plasic assembly with about 6 small screws in it, sorry fo vague discription i have no books yet, just checking out Ebay for one, thank you for youer help
Thanks

Get them to sort it before you pick it up or hand over any cash.

Toooooo many on here have picked Landys up and then tried to have garage repair only to face many moths of hassle.

Thanks Bigeeee

I will do just that, need to know more so i can have something to say and know what to loook for when i check it over, before i pay up
Thanks for your help

You dont say where you are, there are probably members local to you that would gladly give it the once over.
(always better to put a rough location on your profile).

Ok will do that now,
I am from Merseyside, but the dealer is in Wakefield, so you can see my plight, need to know because once i take it, its going to be a pain to sort out, if its not right, saleman seems Ok but dont they all, i am really impressed by the discovery, after looking at 8 other this is by far the best for solid chassy, boot, arches, etc. will come with full mot and 3 months warranty,
But i am worried about oil/brake fuild leak
thanks again

if it is abs modulator which will have six brake pipes going to it ,there are expensive, and may be hard to find, over 1k for new

Sorted..Brake vacum pump needs replacing, screws heads came off needs replacing, but still need to sort oil out, unless its because of the brake pump?
thx
