I am now having a whole range of electrical problems with 2001 Disco 2. First the remote key stopped deactivating the alarm, a week later rear heated window failed, and two more weeks later the fuel flap failed to open.

I checked voltage on the heated rear window terminals, and it is under 1V. The relay clicks and the button lights up properly. I started checking wiring and found that one of the connectors behind side trim in passenger footwell was corroded and some of the wires were actually broken off. I cut out the connector and soldered wires directly, but nothing changed. All of the electrical problems are still there.

All fuses are fine. What else should I check? Any suggestions?

Well, it was radical surgery in this case, I cut out the connector and soldered wires:

In the morning I found that two more connectors are also corroded. Which means I have to continue soldering on the weekend.

Water runs down that corner while it is raining, so sealing sun roofs would be an urgent job as well.

I know, my model only has BCU there. However it also controls door windows and immobiliser, and those work just fine. I wouldn't expect half of a BCU fail and the other half work fine, therefore I hope it is just a wiring problem.

you can expect any weirdeness from a water ingress in the BCU

Repaired all three faulty connectors... no effect...
Will test a couple more points first, and then probably remove, open, and clean BCU. Argh!

OK, after more testing I found that the problem is with passenger compartment fuse box. It needs to be replaced.

Does anyone know if I can replace YQE000110 with YWE103830 or YQE000410?
Is the connector pinout the same or will it cause problems?

Replaced the fusebox, and the heated rear window is now working perfectly. Thanks for your advice!

Key remote and fuel flap are still broken. Next step is replacing the alarm receiver and then opening rear trim to access the solenoid. :\

Is it possible to remove third row seats without a custom made spring retention bracket? Can I use zipties instead or something else?

All problems fixed. Three faults - three different problems. Replacing fuze box fixed heated rear window problem, replacing alarm receiver made remote key locking work again, replacing fuel flap solenoid fixed that problem too.
