EGR removel

hi all, replacing the egr valve with a blanking plate kit on a p reg disco, need a little help on this, the solinode that runs the egr valve has three pipes, (asome that these are vacume pipes). One attached to nothing, one that goes to the egr valve and one that taps into the brake servo vacume hose, the one that goes to the brake vacume hose is connected by a T connecter, if i remove all old solinode pipe work(don't like thing left loose in engine bay) do i need to replace this T connecter, checked some web sites but none mention this pipe that goes to the brake servo hose.

dont u get blanking plugs for the vacum pipe with the kit?

no nothing in kit just plate ,gasket and new hose

sorry im not much help but imm sure you can get plugs for the vacum line. They dont remove the lines they just blank em off.

DO NOT REMOVE THE VACUUM SOLENOID !!!!!!


All you need to do re the De-EGR mod is to blank off the vacuum pipe to the EGR valve itself. Incidentally there should also be a pipe with a rubber elbow, going from the solenoid to the air-filter box, on a TDi 300.
