drivers door lock/handle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just bought my first land rover its a discovery 300tdi, all in all apart from the rust i've got to weld am happy as can be with it. When a press the button for the central locking all the doors lock accept the drivers door, and the door will not open from inside the car but opens fine from the outside? Any one got any ideas this would be greatly appreciated thanks.
