Yep its that time of year again when the dreaded MOT is due on the TD5... then only thing she got notifcation of was one tyre... Wonder what this years gonna bring.....

As always on all cars Ive owned, I tend to get a service and MOT done at the same time, dont think ive ever had one fail yet with that system.
But due to money being alittle tight and the other fact that I knacked my back up at work,( slipped discs and one crushed disc ) Ive not really had any time to work on her nor can I for the next few months...

So what Im thinking of doing is getting the MOT done first... thus to find out what she fails on if anything.... and use the spare cash to get repairs done, so at least shes got a 12 month ticket.....

As for the servicing, Shes only done 2500 miles since the last one... Im not saying Im gonna skip it but certainly delay it a few month..... no dought the Winter gas bill will land on the step soon enough.... what do you all think....

Plus quick quest.... when I get in some timesand turn the ignition.. I get three chimes..... not every time but some times.... whats that all about

Hi,
With that mileage should be Ok for another few months, but do not leave it to long as these things tend to carry on longer than you want.
As for the 3 chimes mine does this if I turn on the ignition and wait for all the warning lights to go out before starting the engine, I think it is a self check thingy, or some fitter at Solihull connected it up to a old door bell:D

Well getting her in for a service and MOT is no way a guarentee whats shes gonna pass..

So I think the option of MOT first.... Find out if she passes or fails... then get the fails sorted to get her 12 month ticket... service in a few months....
