Thought I'd have a go at tiding up the back of the D1 300tdi and look out the boot carpet and sound insulation etc, and now can see that there is a big old gap between the bottom of the door and the boot floor (which has been replaced recently). Can see daylight there looking in the rear view mirror!

So wondering if the door seal is meant to go all the way round (guessing it should as its a seal), as it currently doesn't, and if it is meant to, how on earth do I refit it when there's no lip or ridge to fit the seal over?,

Also found a few holes going into the wheel arch, reckon this will explain the dampness, so how do I patch holes in ally bodywork without having to learn to weld and buy welding kit?

cheers guys,
