My stop solenoid is just in front of the injector pump. Just one white (ish) wire going to it.

I still can not see how it could possibly be the battery ? Example the hazards work fine but the indicators dont. There is no red warning lights on the dash ( oil / battery ) when you turn the key on, but the hazzard indicator green lamp works fine and so does the blue main beam. All wipers and washers work fine.

I have looked everywhere under the bonnet and can see no main fuses, anyone have a picture ?

Thanks everyone for help so far.

What I mean is yes the battery could be fooked but I would surely still get the two red lights and at least a click when trying to turn it over ?

If you have hazards you would have red lights even if they are dim.

You may or may not have clicking depending on how flat your batt is.

By the description you are giving I still think it is a main fuse blown.

Keep looking for that elusive fuse box.

get a voltmeter on the starter solenoid, you might find it's just a broken wire or even a jammed starter

he's got no dash lights Sean. He's got hazards and interior lights but no batt, oil, brake warning lights. Thats what makes me think it is one of the big blade fuses gone. Don't spose you know where the fusebox is on the engine bay cos I have gone blank?

Has anyone got any idea where these main fuses are, I have had my head under the bonnet for so long I now look like the hunchback of notradame

I have traced all visable wiring and it either goes to connectors in the loom or through the bulkhead into the cab, could they be hidden behind the dash somewhere ??

Just a reminder it is a 200TDI auto 93/94.

Cheers

I've had a look at Rave and it says "A second fuse box is located on the right side of the engine compartment adjacent to the coolant reservoir."

Not sure if this is the one you are looking for but hope it helps.
