Discovery DS???

300tdi Discovery DS. Why do i seem to be the only one with a DS? and nobody knows which model a DS is. Everybody seems to ask "sure it's not an XS or an ES", 100% sure, it's a DS. I have photos and the car to prove! :p

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on it? Below are details :D

It isn't imported, V5 says registered new in UK. it's RHD. It's manual, no aircon, no sunroof, no cruise control. It's apparantly got the old 200 style alarm on it, where it uses the horn instead of a seperate bleeper thingy.

it's 1995 - M reg, epsom green, 7 seats and they ain't leather!

PLEASE someone, help? :p
 
No such thing in any of my books not even in the LR parts book.
USA and Canada had an entry-level Discovery SD also SE and SE7 there is a LE, LSE, GS, XD all 300 series but no DS.

So how does a photo prove there is a DS when there is no spec avilable to compare.

Does V5 say "DS"? A quick Goggle search found no other "DS"s. Maybe nobody has a "DS", but you`ve a Disco with "DS" stickers?
 
My alarm uses the horn aswell, thought all 300 were like that oh well you learn something everyday. As for ds sounds more like someone added those later on. or maybe it just stands for dumb ****. I do belive it t be a very rare model lol
 
How great would it be for Jammy to come back with some proof that his DS is genuine. Then he could get this :mil36: out, and blow his doubters away.

i dunno, they look very authentic. the mud on 'em makes 'em look less like the others. but like, you stick it next to an XS or an ES or whatever and the stickers look right. like, exactly the same (bar the letters use, of course)
