Hi i have a disco 300 series, i have been toying with the stereo, now added new head unit, rear subs replaced by one 6x9 speaker, rear speakers replaced, obly problem is my drivers door speakers :( they are such a odd size cant seem to find any speakers that arent too deep, anybody know where i can find replacment ones?

I fitted some cheap 4inch ones from maplins and used the original plastic surroung on the standard speakers as a spacer.seemed to work ok

Replaced mine with an Alpine 2way set from Halfords-just filed down the mounting lugs to fit within the speaker trim :)
Same speakers for the rear, sounds great now over the 300tdi engine! Lol

I got some Fli 4's of ebay and they sound pretty good, equal to if not better than the alpine "type S" coaxail's I had in my nissan SX:

FLI Audio FI4 4" 3-Way 150W Car Stereo Audio Speakers | eBay

perfect fit in the stock plastic bezels - the front grill is replaced with the fli unit and all screw holes match up

Its landrover some of the wireing is amazing lool! the wires to for the sub in the tailgate , are black and red for the sound which caused me mega problem when tryna do it as you would automatically think they are live and earth but noooooo haha

I have 5.25 inch JBLs in the front. It required enlarging the door (metal) pocket a little to fit the magnet, but not much. I took the door panel off and used a dremel. Easy job. The JBL are quite deep, and seemed that it would require a spacer, which I didn't want, so i modified the cover a little and drove securing screws through the cover (now you can see it) rather that using the JBL snap on spacer for the cover. I also had to cut larger opening in the door panel, which was an easy job with a sharp knife. It works Great!

In the back I have 6X9, but as mentioned here by someone it was quite a job. I had it done by my garage boys that spent half a day working and manufacturing custom new brackets.

BTW, I also used 22lb of RAAMmat BXT II from RAAMaudio - Automotive sound deadening products, on front and rear doors, some on very front of the foot well, and rear wheel wells. My Disco is now quiet as luxury car, even my wife noticed. Awesome sound and you can have a normal conversation at 110km/hr on the highway.
