Discovery 200tdi Seats???

This has probably been asked before!
Do the seats (just front & rear not the inward facing) from a later series 1 (300tdi) fit the earlier Discoveries. The interior on my 1993 5 door 200tdi is a bit tatty, the seats are manual & not heated. Seen a few seats for sale and if I can confirm what does & does not fit seams a simple way to upgrade it.

Early 300 seats are the same as the 200.You need to look at the seat belt receiver to ensure the front seats will fit. One is fastened to the floor the other attached to the seat, that will show you which base is on the seat. The bases changed about 95/96. As far as I know the rears are a straight swap.

On the other hand anything is do-able with a bit of welding. You can remove the seat from the base and weld a plate to the base to attach the new seat. That is how the RR classic seats are installed.

i put rr classic seats in my 200tdi the back ones went straight in the frount ones i had to remove arm rests and made a frame to bolt them to but boy it was worth it changed the comfort altogther
