im putting a second battery setup on my d2 and as i dont have mine at the moment its in the garage havinga new alternator put on!

i was wondering wether someone could measure the approximate size of the original battery tray as according to devon4x4 you can fit to optima batterys in the original space in some sort of batter tray.

"The compact size of the batteries means that both can be fitted in the original battery location in a D44 battery tray-DEVON4X4"

If you want a replica SD roofrack, try www.landyrax.com
The chaps name is Bob the racks are excellent, as good if not better than original. But bear in mind increased fuel consumption and wind noise is, well hurricane force over 50 mph. They are not the type of thing that you are going to put on and take off regularly as they are heavy and awkward. If you have sunroofs you will be adding about 8 inches in height so forget about car parks with barriers. All the same I love mine and wouldnt be without it.
