Discovery 1 Hatch Door lock Diagram

Hi All.I have just fitted a new spring to the lock on the hatch door of my disco and a few bits fell off the door catch so I need a diagram, of the lock, so I can put it all back together. Can anyone help?

Thanks Paul but the one I need is with the one showing the bars and clips to the latch and auto lock system. Can you help with that?

That's all I could find in the parts book, there's nothing (that I could find) in the workshop manual either.

It is for a Discovery 1 ??? - what year ???

1998 Discovery 1 series 3. It was the small spring, that breaks, in the latch, that I replaced and some bars and clips fell off and I would like to put it back together.

Isn't this the fuel flap cover plate? I think the OP is referring to the back door???

I took 'hatch door' to be the filler flap

Hi Paul and Robint, Thank you both again for your help and it is all back together and working fine. My next challenged is adjusting the central locking in the o/s door. Job for another day.

I'm struggling with trying to re-assemble the parts of the tailgate lock on my 1990 Discovery 1, 200Tdi after examining the springs in the latch . I'm very grateful for the parts diagram at post #8 in this thread. Part 15 is a small black plastic part to connect 17 to 13. I have some queries:

1. The end of 17 does not clip securely into the slot on 15.It falls straight out, even though 17 is pushed right into the slot. Has anyone else had this issue, which I presume is old tired plastic. (I know how it feels) Is this part available, or do I have to get creative?

2. Is 15 reassembled pointing vertically upwards?

3. Rotating 15 by hand on the shaft of 13 reveals about 45 degrees of slop between 15 and 13. Is this a fault? If so, am I again needing a new 15?

I've spent many hours using the search facility, and stripping down those levers and the latch assembly three times, over a period of four months so I'd be VERY grateful for some advice.
