Hi guys bin a while.
My 51 plate V8 ES Auto is having the odd suspension hiccup wondered if anybody's had the same and got a cure before she ends up at the stealers !
Intermittently (maybe once or sometimes twice a week) the rear o/s suspension deflates completely. Theres no hissing sound around the air bag. It re-inflates on start up and will probably be fine for maybe a week or more till she doest it again. She blows up to off road height no probs. Wondered if it could be the o/s ride height sensor any ideas please.
Cheers and a good new year to all

Dads did this, no lights on the dash, went to the stealers they replaced the passenger airbag and it was fixed!!!!!

Might be something simple like a sensor, might be worth replacing them but i suggest a plug in first to see what faults are registered.

Nick.

My money is on the air bag......unless u have(or had) SLS warning on dash.......these air springs have the strange ability to seal themselves from time to time.

thanks guys steered away from the air bag due to the fault being intermittent, probably need to have a re-think. No dash warning lights showing and she'll blow up to full off road height. will the airbag fault show up on a test book ?? may need a bit of advice to change said air bag if it is that. Just a bit tight wi brass thats all.
Cheers

...and dads was intermitant as well, drove him mad for a little while as it felt like it only did it when it was pointing one wau on the drive!!!!

Thanks guys ordered a new air bag £85 +vat. I'm well handy with the spanners but is there any easy method or anything I need to watch out for when I change it ! as don't posess a manual for the series 2 only the 300 which didn't have air susp. Once again many thanks.

Cheers Guys, changed the air spring in around 45 mins, blew the old one up with the compressor and put it in a bucket of water two massive air leaks where the folds would be when on the car.
Sierraferry thanks for the info re the fitting instructions as the old one was a screw union but the new one was a push fit.
Cheers all
