Hi all heres an update on my stolen disco. insurance
have at last paid me a pittance £450 so I got a 94 300tdi auto
a couple of weeks ago just finished welding sills &front inner
wings and a few other jobs ready for MOT but now found
the fan is f*^ked so I intend to fit an electric one does
anyone know the thread size of the bleed screw on top of
the radiator so I can fit a switch for the fan
still grieving my loss
Cheers Stuart

Oh Sh*t Ill get me hat and coat on. \mind you the ones that fit into the end of the top hose would they not have the same problem. I was hoping to
avoid that type Cheers Stuart

Except that is the cooler water. Yu want to put it in the hottest point you can find. Normally the thermostat housing. It measure temperature, not water volume, so if the water level drops, it will still measure. Anyway, unless the water level is very low, the water pump will still push the water up thru the top hose.

The elbow on the thermostat housing has room for two seperate standard fit fan switches. Land Rover, Britpart , Bearmach supply the switches so do Facet etc , just choose the correct temperature range and whether you want normally open or normally closed they have two temp settings , one to switch on and the other to switch off or one to switch off and the other to switch on etc . Regards Jonathan

Many thanks everyone for the info, thermostat
housing it is then when me old bones stop
creaking. Once again many thanks for all your
help and advice. Cheers Stuart:):eek::):eek:
