most of us know that the ball in the bell housing pushes through the release arm and the pedal goes hard. Thats the same feeling that i'm getting on the pedal with very little or no movement when I try to depress it but not everytime:confused: just been out in it and done about 6 mile to the local shop and it's done it twice but the the rest of the time it felt fine.

Me thinks I'm taking the box off:( but not sure if it could be a iffy slave/master

Hi andy

i will be doing this in a few weeks time on amates disco once my garage is clear, his simptoms are the same as yours and on a similer journey ( local shops ) anyway i have been told to find out if it is the slave cylinder rod gone through the fork before you strip everything try removing the slave cylinder first when you are pulling it out feel for it being stiff as the rod will be jammed in the fork and if it isn't its hyds.

i tried to remove the slave cylinder of my mates disco but the bolts that hold the slave cylinder were siezed solid and not much room to work so going to pull the engine as we have other work to do on the engine aswell, hope this helps.
