hi peeps i posted on here not that long ago that i was looking at a disco but it had probs with the rev counter and you kind people pointed me towards the altinator which it turns out is the prob i got the car anyway cos i was to good to let go i was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on removing this part and is it quite simple

Hi, what kind of disco are we talking about?(i mean 1 os 2)

Its pretty easy if the bottom bolt isn't seized, mine was! Turned into an epic fix, needed to remove a lot of other components (coolant pipe, intercooler, fan, fan cowl, etc) to get a proper grinder into there after I'd worn out a Dremel and broke another.

Even so, that bottom bolt is quite inaccessible, but if you have a variety of tools, is okay.
