Default Disco 2003 Electrical prblm

My discovery doesn't drive well in drive 4. I was told on the speedometer diagnoses machine the speed reads 128 when it going 20mph. The dealership has had it twice. They say there is a transmission code coming up. But they have checked for a transmission problem and there is none. They think its an electrical short some where but they have no idea where. Its 200 a hour for them to poke and pry around in it and I don't have that kind of money. Heres the kicker. The inside of the truck got soaked with rain water on May 26th. Both sunroofs and both back windows were down and a thunder storm rolled in and stayed overnight. The problem started the next day when I found the truck almost flooded. Land Rover said there is no water damage, I don't belive them. Please help me. I'm paying a car note and bumming rides, now I'm looking at turning it in and taking a repo against my credit."
