Disco 2 rear springs

Having replaced my front springs and knowing they were sided (Drivers side 10mm taller) I have just replaced my rear ones but didn't check if they were sided as I thought it was just the front. When tightening the wheel I noticed different colour markings between the springs.

So my question are the springs sided or can they go on either side ?

Pre-2003 they were the same, Purple paint coding.

Post-facelift there were 3 pairs of springs for the rear, to give a range of heights/loadings.

P1012 of RAVE has the tables for both ranges.

the different colour markings denote the springs are rated different so are sided

fook i be under mine tomorrow did not realise they are sided **** bollox and all that

Yeah mine seems to be leaning at the front but could of sworn I put the taller spring on the drivers side. Will have to check over the weekend

Don't go by length, go by the colour code.

When I build up the spare chassis, I'm going to fit the 7-seater rear springs on mine, it was built as a 5-seater then had the 3rd row seats added.

mine is a 5 seater with original springs. Should I upgrade for towing to heavier duty ones and if so which?

Go for the seven-seater rears.
