Having read the Disco tyre size guide I am no wiser!
I am thinking of replacing my current wheel/tyre combination (255-55-18 on LR alloys) with 31-10.5-15 Kuhmo MT's. The Disco has a 1" lift on the front and a 1.5" lift on the rear (?) so the previous owner told me.
Question I have not found the definative answer to is - Will they fit without chopping the wings to bits?
I am looking to replace because I don't like the idea of taking it off-road with low-profile tyres and the alloys look expensive to replace. Also a couple of the 255's are getting worn.

Tosser or Troll :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

maybe we should have a poll :D

Thanks for that. A simple yes or no would have been sufficient but you have to prove your superiority by insulting other forum members.
Does it make you feel better? More intelligent perhaps?
Or maybe you just have a personality problem which manifests itself in this type of behaviour.

If anyone could give a simple answer to a genuine question it would be appreciated without any more crass, insulting or childish posts from the likes of Barmatt

You come onto the forum without the simple courtesy of introducing yourself then you ask a question which has been answered many, many times before and then you spit your dummy when you get told to **** off and do a search because we have better things to do with our time than help idiots that can't be arsed to do a bit of reading.

So stick your dummy back in your gob, pick up your toys and try reading/searching the forum before asking stupid questions that have been answered a few thousand times before.

if you had read the tyre fitting guide as you suggest you have..... you would kno the difinative answer.....

it states quite clearly the work you need to undertake for various sizes of tyres..

for the tyres you wish to fit the guide says...

rear fender trimming.. your 1 to 1 and half inch lift does not move yr fender backward so i would suggest that this is still required..

steering stops..... your lift will not make your chassis any narrower or move your inner wings closer to the centre line of your disco.. so you will still need to adjust the steering stops...

spacer for rear tyre.... your lift does not alter your spare wheel carrier at all.. so you will still need a spacer...

fairly simple when you read the very good advice and apply a bit of common sense....

:welcome2:

If you had had the courtesy of looking at my profile you would have seen that I have been registered for a few years. I had actually 'been arsed to do a search' but had found no definitive answer to my query so I do object to being told to '**** off and do a search before asking stupid questions ...'
It's people like you that make Land Rover forums such a pain - I had hoped this one would be different but you have shown it not to be; just another haven for the smartarse.
Your sanctimonious attitude, your 'I know it all' pigheadedness and your '**** off nubie, we don't want you here' replies to simple queries give fora like this a bad reputation. Why don't you just wind your neck in: if you are unable to reply sensibly or politely, or cannot reply to a simple post then just ignore it- plenty do. Or maybe you are just such a boil-in-the bag **** that politeness and forum courtesy are concepts way beyond your understanding. Either way, there is no need to start hurling insults around - we can all do that. You do neither yourself nor the forum any favours with that attitude.

At least Nick2303 has had the decency to give a sensible answer to my post without resorting to insults. Thanks Nick2303. Pity there are not more like you and less like Barmatt - the forum would be better for it.
