Hi

I have a 200tdi Disco. It has just failed it's MOT and 1 of the points was that the tell tale indicator dashboard light wasn't working. When I indicate the trailer light comes on once and then goes out but the indicator light doesn't come in. Any ideas as to what the problem may be ?

The external indicators all work fine.

Thanks

Hi FB,

Had exact same prob on my Brothers 200Tdi, after checking bulbs, wire harness etc, have finally decided it is the relay, although it still clicks as the relay energises. I cannot get a 12V output on the light green and purple wire that goes to the bulb in the instrument panel.

local motor factors, in oxordshire ( bucks auto ) can get one, about 20 quid. although I am of ot a breakers. it appears his motor needs a few other bits to get thru the MOT,

It's definitely the relay. I can only find info on where the relay is located for the 300tdi. Is the 200tdi's in the fuse compartment below the steering wheel too ? Is it east enough to access ?

Thanks

It's behind the fuse box. Unscrew the fuse box and let it hang down on the wires, then turn on ya indicator and feel which relay is 'ticking'

Hi FB,

Gratch is right, also, it is on a blue connector block, if the unit has also stopped "ticking"

got my relay coming on tuesday. can give an update then, these bank holidays, gotta love them, but they sure interrupt with getting the parts, LOL,

But then having a disco, I need all the time off to fix the darn thing, Hahaha.

Cheers

HI FB,

FYI, changed the relay, job done, dashboard now has a nice litle flashing green light.

Just hope nothing else breaks before I get the Disco to the MOT centre.

Cheers
