D1 200tdi Rear door electricmystery

1994 D1 - 5 door

rear door electrics

demister - working - ohms tested element ok and its getting 8 volts when on
number plate lights - Working
door open (red) light - Working
central locking motor - not working - but motor tested on another door and is fine
wiper - not working - not tested yet
speakers - Amp - Not working.

I have cleaned up the earth strap from the wiper motor but still no joy on the central locking or wiper.

Any tips?

Could be a broken wire?
My rear wiper didnt work when I got it
took it apart to find the grease inside had set like concrete
cleaned it out sprayed with wd40
cleaned it again and repacked with grease runs sweet as a nut now

I tested the wires to the central locking unit and it gets 8 volts when I lock/unlock but the unit it not working when I plug it in.

should it be getting 12 volts and is this why its not working?

what voltage did you get on other door?
could be an alignment problem once refitted?

update - after a full strip down/ removal and clean up - voila it works again, I left the outside key/barrel disconnected as it was jammed solid, this seemed to be the issue!
