I bought this Disco for my Mrs which has a couple of niggles. One is that on the auto gear selector where I thought Lights would light up "D" it doesnt so in the dark you arent sure what gear your in :D
and Bloody condensation :D:D
The Temperature gauge seems to have a mind of its own, could this be the temperature switch?

The gear slector is easy unclip the cover carefully and pull the bulb holder out from each side and replace the bulbs, easy 2 minute job.

Condensation means you have a water getting in somewhere? like 90% of discos seem to have, mines the rear sunroof :(

Temp guage sorry dont know much about that?

Check cooling system water levels when cold. If you are low on coolant then the temp gauge may fluctuate. Is your heater blowing out warm or cold air as if it starts to blow cold air when it is set to hot then you are seriously risking overheating the engine.
Could just be a poor wiring connection at the temperature sender on the engine.

maybe irrelevant but condensation on mine was heater matrix leaking, front footwells carpet soaking, windscreen never demisted, replaced all ok now

Maybe the condensation is too do with it standing for a year before we bought it...... me thinks also it could be the reason for a few of the niggles as standing does them no good at all.......

As for the temperature gauge, the heaters get lovely and warm although they do take a while to get there, I did think the thermostat was open at first but someone told me that his takes ages to warm up too. Think I will check the wiring, then replace the switch ;)

Beware discos leak !! fact, up to and including td5 sunroofs are next best to useless.Great vehicles when they are behaving. I have a sort of love hate thingy with mine LOL !!
