I have had a quick search & didn't come up with owt definitive.
When it's not been run for a few hours & the clutch is pressed there's a whine from the box/engine?
Once it's done a couple of miles it goes completely away.

Is there a servo or pump that's warming up?

51'plate TD5.

Thanks for looking.

Keith.

Would both these parts be in the kit for a new clutch or will they need to be sourced seperately?

Cheers

It depends on the kit, all bits are readily available though.

You will need:

Clutch plate and cover plate
Clutch thrust bearing
Spigot bush

As it's a td5 you should consider getting a dual mass flywheel and replacing that at the same time.

The TD5 clutch kit contains everything except the the spigot bush and the DM flywheel(which is expensive) ... when it comes about clutch kits it's a matter of luck too IMO. i had to remove the gearbox twice cos the new AP clutch kit didnt engage well then in my rage i fitted a :eek:Britpart clutch and flywheel kit which is brilliant (and it has the spigot bush too) DISCOVERY DEFNDER TD5 CLUTCH KIT & FLYWHEEL BRITPART | eBay

Dont worry about the spigot bush had the same on mine for years only when cold, first thing in the morning only changed it when i did the clutch

Mine makes a bit of a noise when its cold but it goes away after a bit, I'm leaving it until the clutch has to be replaced.
