Climate control

Could some kind person please tell me how to get the climate control unit out so I can replace a bulb, Thanks.

Just did the same operation myself in recent days.

Gently pull out the ashtray and coin holder units until they are free, there is a small metal clip I think that needs to be depressed
Then unscrew the cup holder - there are 5 screws holding it in place
Then reach up through the available spaces and push in the tabs on either side of the Climate Control unit and it should pop out.
Disconnect the three (I think) cable looms to the unit
There are 4 (I think) screws holding the rear of the of the unit onto the front, remove the rear cover and you can see the screw in bulbs

hi if you need the bulbs autobulbs have them or order from dealers took me 15 mins to do just be carefull with circuit board

Oddly enough I changed a bulb in mine yesterday (disco II). I did it the rave way which said to take the radio out and then working through the hole release the sprung clips either side and push out.

I have to say it was a pig to get my hand in and push the clips. I managed after loosing some skin! I did think at the time it might gave been possible to get at the clips where more easily by removing the click and switch pack.

Once released there are 3 multiplugs which come off easily. Then take out the 2 screws holding the back on and the back and one PCB will home off (PCB is attached by small ribbon cable to second PCB so don't pull too hard). You can then see the bulbs clipped into the lower PCB and they just twist out.
