changing a 300 tdi engine edc to non-edc

hey all...i'm changing the engine in my disco, but the engine i am removing has a few wires coming outta the top of the injector pump an the engine i'm fitting doesn't....do i just change the pump over? or is there an easier fix? also the bolts at the top of the bell housing is there an easy way to get at em? or will i be alright once i put it up on the ramp,gratefiul for anyfeedback ty guys

take it your swapping from or to a fly by throttle guess you can swapp the pumps over either way, as for the bolts the a royal t**t to get out and to put in there worse many discos ive dropped boxes out of dont have the top two or three in

you can either drop gear box off mounts till you can reach bolts or remove engine mounts and lower engine down,edc doesnt have direct accelerator cable other pumps may have several wires fot immobiliser in black box rear off pump which can be broken off one solenoid wire replaced and wiring for egr

kk thanks for replys my injector pump has the throttle cable on just a few wires coming in the top guess for the immobiliser then... so no need to change the pump rite?

right wires at front of pump are for egr throttle potentiometer and arent needed just cable tie away
