Well, driving yesterday a vibration started, so checked underneath when I got home and found this on the rear prop which connects to the diff - so reckon this could have something to do with it - as no vibration when free wheeling down hill, so transmission based...

So I donlt think its a UJ (I am new but getting there with parts and repairs...;)), althought there does seem some play at the front so might get them changed.....so just after some help in knowing what it is and how to go about getting it sorted please.

Cheers

That would be the "Donut" coupling. before you pull it apart mark the flanges of prop shaft and diff for alignment so they go back same way. be sure to get a new pin and bush as well as rubber coupling, pin is a prick of a thing to remove, but you'll work it out i'm sure.

Thanks guys,

Just been and got one, now replaced and no vibrations :D

Well for now anyway.....

To say it was shot by the time I had been to the parts shop and back again......
