Can I ?

I want to put one of the Discovery 2 front bumpers on my Discovery 1 1998 as I like the look of them more

Is it possible to fit one without mods ? and is it also possible to fit the TD5 headlights as I know they're a bit better than 300tdi ones

Now this is something I would like to know too....can I fit the early D2 front and back bumpers to my 97 and 98 D1s? Spiffy upgrade for the roadcar....

I'll have to try hard to find one in Rioja red but if not I might two tone it with a black one

Did the early D2s come in body colour bumpers?Thought that was only facelift....do those still fit D1?

He probably means 2 things,

Firstly, you have to be very carefull not to be buying a set of lights that have been ripped from the front of some poor buggers motor.

And secondly, that once youve fitted them, someone ripping them out of your motor.

The second hand market seems to be flooded with light units which have the tell tale signs of being stolen.

No idea but theres a nice silver set I'm gonna have a bid on on ebay, its the full kit

If it wont fit I'll make it somehow, drills and self tapping screws always work wonders

d2 came colour coded before face lift only basic models wer black

I think it could be possible with a bit of cut and bodge.

Tbh with enough bodge anything is possible. If you bodge it properly then you have simply modified it to fit.

I think the chassis main sections are a similar distance apart so it's probably worth a look.

And I think the OP might be referring to PREFACELIFT d2 headlamps? They are similar to 300 lamps but slightly better.

Either way, someone should take one for the team and try it
