can any one tell me what ?

can any one tell me what a oil pressure switch dose ?
mine as had the wire pulled or cut not sure how long it as been like this .
and what will happen if it left off ?
i may have done it when i put a new cluch in or not sure if it been like it befor i got the td5 discovery just sean it .

I'm not certain, but i think the oil pressure gauge shows how much oil pressure there is.

If you dont connect it the world implodes.

so if i run with it off will it be ok ?
i can not find one off the wires

It'll be fine...its just a gauge. You can still drive if the fuel gauge fails too...for a while anyway!

thanks storm i was just asking cose i am getting oil out of the breather hose from cyilinde head cover well drips and i dint no if it was my prob.
she not running right at the min trying to get to the bottom of it
