I am looking for a garage to replace the cam belt on my 1993 Discovery 200TDI. I was going to get it done at my local shop/garage Delgrah Cross Country Rovers but they have either moved on or gone out of business. They had quoted me £250 all in so a bargain. If anyone knows what has happened to them, they were at Medway City Estate it would be nice to know if they're still in business.

I was considering doing the job myself but £50 for a pin kit that I might only use once is a bit steep.

£200 cheaper and you could sell pin kit on ebay and get some more monet back ,dont forget to get front cover and water pump gasket too

You can get the locking pins on eBay for £15-20. Have a go at it yourself, lots of guides around the place including this forum.

If you follow the various guides it is a straightforward job to do and you'll learn loads about your Landy.

Plus when it's done you'll feel pretty proud of yourself too !!!!

Just done mine :D

You dont need the pin kit, just get the flywheel one and use a drill bit for the fuel pump. Make sure the belt kit has a dayco belt as well, most do i think.
