Hello
Its been a while since i was last on here, however im after a Land Rover again :) (last time it was a V8 defender but thought better of it)

I own a Freight Rover 1984 sherpa at the mo, with the "0" series engine but unfortunatly its got rust in the tank and wont move off the drive so am looking to buy a disco to see me through the next few winters,
I am definatly after a 200/300 tdi and its gotta be Auto i have up to £2000 to spend but would rather be the lower end of this, im currently in lincoln but moving to suffolk in the next few weeks, if anyone is local to these areas and have a good disco for sale id be interested!

If not id be greatfull for some advice when going to view a landy and what common issues there may be and how to spot them! doesnt seem to be a huge selection on ebay at the mo, but imagine this is due to the recent weather! I have decided on land-rover over other 4X4s due firstly to there popularity, and as such spares should be relativly well priced and freely available (let me know if this is wrong!!) and secondly when the rust has caught up with the disco id quite like to put the engine in a defender series 2!!

Thanks in advance

James

200/300tdi are a bit rust prone so make sure u check it over well sills inner wings rear inner floor pan [wheel arch`s inner] door pillers & chassis just about every where. but for £2000 you should get a good one for that it`s just a case of finding it

I imagine all the Disco 1s with an MoT are being snaffled up this week, what with the weather as it is. Good time to sell, not buy.

mate had a R reg 1 for sale for about a month (god knows how many tyre kickers he had come around looking at it )
sold it full asking on saturday :D
