bushes

Hi guys I have an on going problem on my 95 tdi the rear lower shock absourber bushes were out at an alarming rate my mot tester tells me the shockers are ok, but I put three sets of lower bushes in the last two years and used poly bushes about 8 month ago, had it on the ramp last week for a service and bugger me the poly bushes are showing about 1/2" of play up and down, they were tight when they were fitted and the nuts havn't come loose, any ideas I only drive it on road and muddy fields.

poly bushes are CRAP !

do you have a lift kit ?

no all the car is bog standard.

what make were the other bushes you'd fitted ?

dont know just ones the local back street LR parts dealer gave me.

google this subject folks - there's tons of threads out there about polys that last just a few months

very easy to fit, which is handy as you'll be changing them quite often

Yes google the subject, there is plenty info out there.
Make sure choose the correct hardness for your application.

My choice of manufacturer is Superflex.

Poly bushes are far superior to OEM

As I said, Superflex have been good for me.
My Superflex have been on my LR since 1998. Mot's passed every time, that's 12 years fir fooks sake..
Was on the ramp last week and still looked as good as new!

I had to replace the rear shock absorber lower mountings on my 93 TDi when one snapped off and the other didn't look to great. The bushes fitted are OEM and they have been just perfect. Repair was carried out 18 months back.
