Having nearly got my ebay bullbar refurbished and repainted i thought i'd ask the forum about the number of spotlights on discovery bullbars.

Should i go for the standard 2 or 4???

Cheers

I'm doing the same at the moment. I'm going for 4 lights in total; 2 6" driving lamps wired to come on with main beam and 2 8" 100w wipacs for off road only ;) use. I'm also circumcising the bumper at the same time and using the switch from the foglights as the feed into the relay for the wipacs.

My bullbar has got an integrated "a bar" so i'm thinking of putting 4 spotlamps in the a bar space that will all be 55w each. Will need to use 2 relays and 1 switch but they will be operated by a switch and not linked into the high beam.
Just need to find 4 spotlights to fit in the space i've got.

I fitted the Bull Bar last weekend, at the same time I cut lower portion of the bumper off and then used the fog light wiring for the spots I'm happy for them to work of that switch for the time being.

Looks good mate! Looks like my bullbar is slightly different to yours as the space inside the a bar on mine is 26" - so should be able to fit in 4 spots (as long as they aren't too wide :D )

Haven't got the fog switch in mine so will wire em up with relays off 1 switch.
Cheers for the pic

Go for the the 4 mate, sounds like it'll look good. Make sure the lights are crammed in, it looks better than when they're spaced out :)

Yep i think i will go with the 4 lights - should be able to get 4x6" spots in the space between the a bar uprights. But i think if i put 4 spots there then i won't bother with a roof bar as i don't need to light up my bonnet.

Cheers for the input guys will do a pic when its all done! :)

Looks very good mate! But that will mean i'll have 4 6 inch spots in front of the grille and 6 on a roof bar!
Looks like i'll be putting a second battery in with a split charge then!
Be hell of a current draw with 10 x 55w bulbs going on!!!

Yep thought it would be a lot!!
As i'll be using the roof as a raised shooting platform i don't think i'll bother with the roof lights - don't fancy shooting holes through em either

Cheers :D
