Ok, i'll probably get flamed for this but here goes...

When i got my landy, the Britpart debate was unknown to me, i ordered a spare filter set for my second service which is now (over) due  Looking at them and they are all blue box britpart ones:eek:

So, do i use them or dump them??

I know a new set is <£10 but it does seem a waste.

they will be fine ive used them for years ,i have had faulty parts from britpart before and would never use their cheap bearings but they do do timken cheap so i choose them but i havent seen any problems with their filter kits or heard of any from peers in the trade

I wouldn't choose them as oil filters, personally for the extra few quid I would have peace-of-mind. That's not to say there's anything wrong with them, just peace-of-mind I always use manufacturer-branded oil filters in all my vehicles...it's just not worth the risk for a couple of quid saved...likewise I always use decent oil...peace-of-mind...

The centrifugal filter in the D2 seems to be pretty-specific, so would use LR there...

For the fuel & air, I have used whatever's cheapest off ebay in the D2. Also I always carry a spare fuel filter having once had an issue with the disco that the fuel filter resolved...

Having said that, if (like you) I already had the filters I would probably use them rather than throwing away a new filter...
