The brakes on my Disco are a bit "spongy' IE pedal comes up higher on second push, probably need bleeding or even fluid change after 123000 miles.
Is this a straightforward job like any other vehicle or , given ABS and downhill thingy, will any garage be able to do it for me or does it need to be someone with special equipment/knowledge.
I'd have a go myself but i'm gettin' on a bit and can't scutter about under cars any more.

Just like 'standard' brakes longest pipe first then the next till u end up at the master cylinder. Keep the master cylinder toped up (as u do) that's important now as you don't want to get air in the abs modulator it's a job to remove I understand.
I do mine but I take the wheels of one at a time to get to the bleed nipple extra work I know but also gives a chance to check out other things and have a clean up. It's not so bad with a 3 ton trolly jack and a sunny day.

I've just done mine, cracked a rear caliper whilst greenlaning and lost all fluid in the rear brake system. Bleeding them was easy to do, i used a gunson eezibleed pressure bleed kit (£14) that uses air from the tyres to force in the new fluid. It's well worth taking off the back wheels. The fronts are easy enough with the wheels on.

Hi Phil

Do you have a Disco 2?

I have a TD5 with spongy brakes on first push of the pedal. According to this thread it is normal...
