Having used a gunsons ezi-bleed on a car the other day I was reminded how tricky they can be, difficult to get perfect seals/overfilling the reservoir/blowing the hoses off .........it seemed to take a while (and a lot of spilt fluid) to get the thing working. I want to change the brake fluid on the D2 soon and was wondering about the vacuum and airline type units, anyone tried them on a D2 and how do they cope with the ABS???
 
Same here same problems.. it's gone back in the box and i;m back to using my very old one-man tube fitted with a ball valve in the end, it's just as quick if not quicker no letting down the tyre pressure or pumping it up again and topping up with fluid a few times is not a proplem for me.

I reckon I don't need to try any thing else :D
 
i do them all the time and i only use pipe/bottle with ign off for work around wheel station or with ignition on with fluid change with someone topping up res so never runs dry takes a few minuets once bleed nipples checked for operation
 
I'll just mention that I understand Land Rover recommend that the system be bled using their Testbook equipment - though I've not experienced any difficulty using the standard 2 person method.
 
Thanks for the replys, just goes to show you learn something new everyday... it never occurred to me that bleeding could controlled by computer, or that 'ignition on' would pump fluid which it sounds as if it does (although I am sure its not recommended!) any one actually used the vacuum / airline things though??
