The big problem My Discovery TDI 300 body replacement

Here is my beautiful land rover discovery



Unfortunately last friday one little Peugeot did this:





Now I'm in big trouble. Insurance will pay me some money. The lady did not see the stop sign...



The case is totally destroyed so I need to replace it... I need help...

buy a body and replace

I live in Serbia, Discovery is not so common as in UK...

But I think that I can find one 4 door Discovery imported from UK.

My first question is:

Chassis for 2 door and 4 door are they the same?


P.S. Excuse my bad English...

Chassis is same for both models.

Better off looking in European countries than uk, less rust to worry about. Try looking in Belgium as they are about to experience a huge tax hike on 4x4's so maybe some going cheap that you could buy and drive back. At least everyone is ok

That comes in handy when you've had too much to drink, you can follow the kerb home Nice Disco BTW.

My first step is to convert this red Disco from right hand drive to left hand.
Any experience would be appreciated...
I have already converter couple Freelanders so I have some experience.

Just drive it without a body on, like the bloke in the 3rd photo. He looks happy enough.

First disassemble the old Land Rover...



I need more space ...To switch the steering wheel from right to left.



And after 30 minutes convertible Discovery.



It looks nice, But it's still cool to be driving such a convertible

Yet I could not resist, we got a little ride around the village. Fortunately there were no police in sight



After a short drive, we dismantled the interior and prepare to move the steering wheel.



Beautifully preserved, just sorry to disassemble, but I have to do it...



Wiring my biggest problem. The wires all over the place a lot of connectors ...

Everything has to be dismantled to move parts from the old to the new Land Rover.

I found a strange device digging in electrics.

It looks like an electric thermostat and it is connected with a box for heating. What is it?





There are two relays and a probe that is inserted into the box with the radiator.

looks like a thermostat ,for aftermarket electric fan? or aircon stat? im sure someone who knows exactly will post soon

I guess I'm not the only one that thinks the rest of you drive on the wrong side of the road. The man certainly knows what he wants though, didn't take him too long to want to put that right.

Really, all you need to do is sit down to news to know the world seems to be getting crazier by the day and its really starting to show on the roads as well. There are too many people on the road these days who in actual fact should not even be allowed to push a pram. How do miss a stop sign and what happened to good old situational awareness? Just the past weekend, I watched from behind as someone in one of those hot hatches try to beat an articulated truck to the entrance of a single lane roundabout. Let's just say I peed a little as I watched the whole thing act out.

Back when I still had my d2 with its bumpers made of biscuits, I discovered a level of rage I never knew I had when all those loonies were up to their antics zipping by too close for comfort.

Dude, massive respect to you for getting stuck in. I'd honestly struggle changing a steering wheel emblem.
