beeping

Hello everyone
my discovery td5 1999has started beeping every second for about 30s-1min just after i start it my doors are shut properly. no lights come up on the dash. anyone else had this trouble? thanks in advance

ther was a post on here not so long back about ther car beeping and it was the after market stereo not saying it is.Is it on air sus and have you any probs??

thanks for your response its on springs its a land rover cd player the beeping is coming from speedo area. doesnt seem to do it everytime.

Is it a big beep or a small beep? What pitch? Can you attach a soundfile?

havent got anything to record it with, its medium pitch and loudness, it has started doing it everytime now, seems to come on about 10 metres into journey and stays on for about 100- 150 metres then goes off. only does when the engine starts up and travelled 10 metres or so

Your description makes it sound like the air suspension raising then lowering as you accelerate above 15mph, this is what it does, but as you say you dont have air fitted, I have no idea, is it possible that your Disco has been converted from air and something is faulty.

What's your location coz it may be worth plugging in Nanocom or Hawkeye to see if any faults registered.
