Hi guys

just got myself a late model Discovery 2 which is going to be parked
up quite a lot.

Has anyone any experience with regards to how long the
battery will keep going before the alarm etc. drains it.
(assuming a good battery)

On my previous Range Rover classic (TDI) I had a rally type master
switch and just disconnected it.

With all the various ecu's on the disco I'm not so sure this is
a good idea.

4 weeks with a decent battery.

indefinately witha decent battery and solar charger.

Dont know about D2 but since the fag lighter comes on with the acc key position on D1 300tdi the solar panel thing thing is a no go.....unless you wire a direct socket or use the provided clips straight to battery.
That or one of the much talked up smart chargers with a float function.Theres a 6 stage for under £40 that would do it,C-Tek,I think....

Thanks Guys.
The electronics on this thing scare the hell out of me
but I'm just feed up with old motors thet need constant att. every year.
Any one want a Tdi rangey, sills been done as has boot.
Needs front axle overhaul, discs u/s-- quite bad shake at 55mph.
No speedo-- fuel gauge--hand brake shagged. bottom tail gate gone
engine and box are good, best bit really (this is a factory original one)

Just laid under the D2, some buggers gone
and fitted a rubber donut instead of a u/j on
the rear axle. Quite what the thinking behind that
is I'm not sure.
A least the rest looked reassuringly like a proper
Landrover
