Hi, just wondered if anyone has or is using this:
Meck Lock
It's a hydraulic lock off system. Couldn't find anything on the forum so far, was wondering how effective it would be. Any thoughts anyone ?

Am I missing something here ??

You want to fit a hdraulic lock off system to yr Landy?

So you got to lift the bonnet and unlock the brakes and the clutch ??

Bit of a fag isn't it ?

Well not that I can see. Looks like you just turn a key from inside the cab, depending where the unit is affixed, to isolate the clutch supply fluid, so clutch is inoperable. You could leave the engine running unattended in certain situations (not that anybody would usually), then if someone jumped in to drive off, the clutch wouldn't work. Once you unlock with the key, then the supply is re-connected. I think that's how it works.

You could be right but surely that would mean extending the hdyraulic piping for the clutch. :(

yep that's the market they are primarily aimed at, extending some pipework isn't such a chore really - but they are REALLY expensive for what they are
