Hi guys I have been having trouble with my alternator charging intermittently, rev counter bouncing when it does work, and have been looking at the options from new regulator to a new unit....

So Today I finished early and decided to have a look at it,
So I took the alternator out, took off the back and removed the regulator,
The contact for the bushed was filthy so I cleaned it up checked all my connections and rebuilt the whole thing.
It's back in the vehicle and so far so good I have a consistent 14v output even with everything on and the rev counter seems to be working perfectly. I'm out all day tomorow and will let you know if it continues but I'm feeling hopeful

I just thort I'd put this up as it only took an hour and was free , which seems a good deal as I was ready to spend £120 on a new one

Hi guys just an update did around 300 with stoping and starting and all seems good voltage at 14 every time we checked so I'm happy .sweet
