Hi, just a quick note to all you other Td5 owners out there thinking tuning box or remap? Trust me, after trying 2 different boxes i've just had my '99 Disco TD5 remapped by Alive Tuning in Grimsby and it is now the way Land Rover should have sold it! Torque is completely different, it'll now forgive you for being 1 or 2 gears too high into some corners, its a different drive altogether and i'm still getting used to it after a week, it is'nt massively powerful, just feels stronger everywhere and already seems better on fuel, don't get me wrong, if you boot it its quick, but not all top end like my last tuning box, drives like a 2.5 turbo diesel should! Not the cheapest, but not a generic remap either, they will tailor it how you want. Very pleased! Might have to save up for their stage 2 conversion next!

No, should i have? that was my only downside, appt was at 10, drove over 200 miles and got there at 10.07 and then had to wait over an hour! Worth it in the end tho!

although personally i think the price they charge is a bit steep. You can get a re-map for £150 in sheffield....no doubt, copied/stolen from autologic or td5alive anyway...

Gary has done both of my Disco's, my 2001 Auto I drove over from Ireland and my 2005 Disco was done over email with the Nanocom. Gary is a gent, sells you what you are looking for, unlike others. I have always found TD5alive very professional and will use them again. It's really nice to deal with a company that know what they are doing.
