Its an indication that the fobs battery is on it's way out, there's more info in the owners handbook.

Yep fob batteries need changing.
Buy some new ones, remove old ones and hold down both buttons for 30 seconds to drain any residual power, put new one in, and push the buttons alternately until the car locks / unlocks.
