Hay just a quick question, I have a 94 300tdi discovery ES. it hasnt got central locking (does but not working and no fob) so I have to open and lock with the key.
Right, so when I lock the drivers door the indicators flash 3 times to say the alarm is on, but then if I open another door (alarm still armed) all that happens is the indicators flash, no horn blaring or owt.
My question is, should the horn go off? So is mine broke? The horn works fine when I press the steering wheel btw.
Cheers
Chris

There's two horns on the car, one "normal horn" and one for the alarm.
The alarm horn is located on the inner wing next to the engine compartment fuse box.
The alarm horn may be u/s or not there at all.

That will be a battery backed-up sounder, not used on the 200 series single button system that is fitted to a 94MY disco.
A single button system still uses the vehicle horn.
