Alarm and engine going together?

I dropped a bag of spanners in my garage on Saturday and next door but ones house alarm went off, funny it should go off just then I thought.

I did a bit of rubbernecking and all the neighbourhood watch were out looking at next door but one so I went back to my tinkering. The bloody alarm was going off intermittently all afternoon, inconsiderate old giffer not doing owt about it.

Anyway, about tea time I jumps in the Disco to go to the CO-OP and set off down our street and the bloody alarm goes off. I stop the car and use the fob to lock it and open it a couple of times, no effect at all. Then I realise I will have to get out so I lock it and open it again from outside a couple of times, it's now getting embarassing.

I got back in and started it up and drove off, alarm still going, and the alarm stops 100yds down the road, good.

No repeat performance since but now I'm wondering if this is going to come and bite me @ 2 in the morning on a bank holiday up over Beatock or somewhere equally remote, but the imobiliser cutting in too.

Any thoughts/ideas?

it sound like someone is useing a radio transmitting near you causeing the alarms to go off old am ssb sets where bad for it
