+1 ^^^ yes, or the more expensive ones have OEM/premium branded parts not the cheapest britpart ones and then it's normal and worths the difference too... i didnt say genuine cos for genuine only the anti roll bar links would be more than the whole kit:rolleyes::

2 x Anti Roll Bar Link Rear (Genuine) RGD100682LR Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.

2 x Anti Roll Bar Link Front (Genuine) RBM100223LR Island 4x4 - Specialists in Land Rover and Range Rover Parts and accessories for all models. UK and worldwide mail order.

The only thing that would concern me are the quality of the ARB drop links. The cheap ones are utter dog crap and clank and clonk.
Moog or Delphi's are the way forward IMO :)

1^^^ or lemforder ... IMO it's better to buy the bits separately and get branded equipment ... then it will not be so cheap but much better

I have a pair of standard ARBs in the garage if you want them. They have "D" bushes and brackets but no drop links so would have to buy them separately (I'd want new ones anyway). Also have the idler pulley to replace the ACE pump.

PM me :)

EDIT: I do not have these bars anymore, they have been sold to torlak. Had 4 guys PM me already!

are rear roll bars different for discos with airbags and springs?
I just bought front/rear bars off a forum member but remember reading different rear roll bars for bags/springs. however, I have switched to springs some time ago and did not need to swap the rear roll bars :confused:

The ACE equipped cars dont have "conventional" ARB's, you put ARB's instead of the ACE setup where the ARB's are together with the actuators, that's the gist of the conversion, to convert to "normal" ARB's;)

afaik it's not about the form or fitting style but the thickness of them, iirc those for SLS are thinner(or thicker:eek:) one of these:)...or not:D, i just remember i saw that discussion long time ago but IMO you have nothing to worry about

You're on the right track!

The front ARB's are the same Regardless of SLS or no SLS, it's the rear ARB WITH SLS has a thicker / bigger ARB that a non-SLS model :)

However, as most if not all SLS equipped cars have ACE as well,

You'd be surprised Dave, there's a few D2's I know of that are 7 seaters (albeit, earlier models) which have SLS - I think they all did from factory, until people started converting them to coils but that's another discussion!! But they have no ACE.

Non ACE:
Front anti-rollbar - RBL101370

Rear anti-rollbar -
RGB101310 [ air suspension ]

RGB101320 [ coil spring suspension ]

ACE-equipped:
Torsion bar RBL101400 [ Active cornering enhancement - front ]

Torsion bar RGB101330 [ Active cornering enhancement - rear ]

Got mine from paddocks all separate . Worked out cheaper that way. They do some veco aux belt for about £6 and they're absolutely fine, I've fitted many belts made by them

i also ordered all the parts seperately including the veco belt (ordered 2 belts just in case!)
look forward to get rid of ace as already spent 50 quid on the ace fluid!!!!

all parts ordered and hopefully i will have them delivered before weekend.
i spoke to couple of land rover specialist who advised me that the entire job may take 1 or 1.5 days!!!! considering 60-70 pounds an hour, bill may go up to 500+ just to convert to conventional anti roll bars. hence, i am going to do it by myself at my friend's garage. i don't think it will be a difficult task, what do you think? has anyone got any "how to" with some photos?

another queistion is the clamp plate, do they need to be replaced?? they are the same size with ACE or normal ARBs right?

i have rented a garage all day with a lift! it's 50 quid a day with the lift and all the tools that i may need. guess it's not too bad
i will have convert the car to non-ace which i am looking for.
what else do you guys think i should look for/fix as/when the car is on the lift??
there is a clunking noise as i release the clutch and i understand it may be a frame ball join which sounds like pain in the back to replace...guess i will leave there for the time being :(
maybe engine oil change as well???
