stirling scotland
anybody dealt with this mob before,i bought a window regulater from them on ebay,
listed for £19.00 plus £5.00 postage mainland britain,
just got an email from them saying they wanted to charge more for postage as scotland isnt mainland britain..

am i missing something here i am sure i never crossed any water when going over the border...

What did the listing on ebay say about scotland if they listed as an extra charge they have you. If they don't report them.

I get this crap all the time but to be fair most transport companies charge more for the north of scotland.
I get round it now by using my Aberdeen address if they want more for the highlands.

I have a window regulator which one do you need. I'll have a look which one it is you can have it for a couple of beer tokens and postage.

To be even more daft. Pal in Shetlands ordered parts and was given option of delivery to nearest rail station.
When he told them that his nearest station was BERGEN in Norway, phone went quiet then parts were delivered properly to his house. We stay 5 miles from Glasgow Airport but our basic post code is PA9 which also covers parts of Argyll and the west coast, so that sometimes causes problems.

anyone had dealings with this company, they said thet would refund the money for the regulater through paypal on monday, still not had anything after a few emails which they dont reply to,bunch of knob jockeys..

First off, sorry for resurrecting an old thread.
just wanted to buy a left and right handed front rope hook for my series 3 ragtop.
- all the big online guys offer exmoor trim parts. - the total cost of which would be £3.90 -ish.
POSTAGE to Aberdeen is anything up to £20:mad:
We are mainland UK and we are not Highlands I've noticed that 'Highlands' have now included Perth's postcodes as well!
i think a lot of this has been encouraged by Fleabay dealers who rack up postage charges to gain a bit extra.
-Don't get me wrong - i'm not scottish standing on my 'Braveheart' soapbox!
(just from Devon and exiled up here) i've always accepted that living here would cost more - but it's gettin' ****in' stupid.
-and how can someone using royal mail then say they have to charge extra for scotland?
For want of a 'jiffy' bag and £3 postage - i wouldn't have had to get on this bloody soap box!! ( end of Rant)
(still dont feel any better:()
