300tdi wont start

i've got a 1996 300tdi it turns over but doesnt fire i did the cam belt yesterday and everything went back on as suppose to could this be immobiliser or somethimg to do with cam belt? help please

pretty sure its nothing to do with the cam belt the car has been stood for 18 months

did you line all the timimg marks before you started then replace belt without moving anything like cam without moving crank visversa? did you turn it over by hand after you fitted belt to check marks??what noise did it make on start up???

was it running pre belt??

yes was running lined everything up and turned it over by hand a couple of times. no unusual noises on start up just sounds like it turning over

think simlpe check everything you have done check you have fuel check all elec connections.thats about all i can say sorry good luck

is it possible that the pump timing has slipped. This happened to me with a 306 diesel. reset it and it fired up
