Today I got a new bearing for the belt tensioner replaced it, and it was making more noise than the bearing I replaced .
When I looked close (put my glasses on) I found the washers that centralise the bearing had worn so no matter what I did I was back in the same place.
I tried shimming it out ect ect
Then I took the whole thing off tried tapping the inner fixing out and broke the dam thing .
So its off to the local specealist on Monday to get new parts .

sorted the problem bought a new unit
It would be no good buying a new washer as the cone that the bearing sits on was badly worn
So there was no way around it now the problem has been put to bed
