The last two times fitted the injectors to my indian made new replacement cylinder head I have had trouble getting the injectors to tighten down enough that they dont give a bit when the pipe connector nut is screwed on or off securely.I am pretty sure that I am not overtightening the connectors.

The first time I took the clamps up to the required torque, using new good quality seating washers for the injectors, they would still turn when the connectors tightened.I tried to gently screw the nut on No1 clamp and the neck part of the stud sheared off,a twist shear, visibly so.I had not come to the end of the threads on the stud so I put it down to a bad stud.

I was lucky to get that one out,so I dont want to risk going over torque again.I dont know if new studs would help as I wasnt at the end of the threads - the old ones cannot have stretched THAT much.............

they will move a little when tightening when first put in,also injector nuts shouldd be nipped not over tightened otherwise they will get damaged on flared ends and wont seal properly

First time I overdid one of those stids and it broke I nearly had a heart attack! However, the design on the clamps is to prevent overtightening. The studs have a narrow waist so they will shear, instead of damaging the threads in the head, and the shear point will be above the head so you cn get the studs out. From talking to my lcal expert, they'll normally come out using mole grips or water pliers - my one came out very easily.
Cheers!
