I was advised to stop being a pansy, slap it back together and start the f*&k!n thing. Which I did and it worked. It is fine !. Although I will advise people to tighten the turbo oil return pipe up before going in for dinner as it is embarrasing having a 5 year old ask where all the oil is coming from!.

You have to remember you are getting a certain amount of mechanical advantage by using the alternator pulley to turn it over, somewhere in the region of 2.5 - 1 sontgat will make it feel easier than expected. The real test will be doing the compression test though.
